A Danfo driver was sentenced after he stabbed a Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) official and he has been sentenced to serve a year in prison.
Following a disagreement on April 26, 2018, Kenneth Anyanwu outrightly stabbed Olanrewaju Yusuf with a sharp broken bottle .
The LASTMA official Named “olarenwaju Yusuf attempted to arrest Kenneth when he pick passengers at an undesignated bus stop between Obanikoro and Palm Grove Axis in Lagos State, but Anyanwu resisted been arrested and then picked a broken bottle and stabbed Yusuf right in the palm.
Kenneth Anyanwu was sentenced by Magistrate F.O. Ikobayo in a Lagos State Mobile Court sitting at Oshodi. Anyanwu was convicted after pleaded been guilty to a two-count charge of assault and breach of peace. She sentenced him to one year imprisonment or a fine of N50,000. The magistrate also ordered the convict to pay N80,000 for olarenwaju’s medical bills.
